Improvement in customs handling

Since the 1st January 2010 it's neccessary to use the EORI number for customs handling. The indication of the number is mandatory for all in the EG based or tax registered companies for doing customs clearance. Without this number it's not possible to do customs clearance anymore.

The application for the registration needs to be done online under https://zoll.bmf.gv.at/eori. After online registration the application has to be print, to be signed and in hardcopy form to be send by post to the local customs office. To avoid delays from 1st January 2010, and to provide a smooth running, we suggest you to forward the application for registration immediately to the responsible authority.
